The interaction between Energy, Finance and the control of greenhouse gas emissions is a major challenge of the 21st century. The expected shortage of energy resources, the liberalization of the natural gas and electricity industries and the raising awareness of the serious problems that global warming could induce has opened the door to a growing financialization of the couple energy – environnement.

Energy, Finance and carbon are now bound into a common problematique which is economic, geopolitical and environmental, and represents a challenge for the world and future generations.

The Master Energy, Finance, Carbon was established in 2009 at Paris-Dauphine University, under the direction of Jan Horst KEPPLER and Christian de PERTHUIS and in association with the CGEMP, to address this major issue.

This Master’s degree trains economists, financiers and engineers capable of giving an operational dimension the economic and industrial strategies of enterprises and institutions, having now to face the convergence of energy, finance and carbon.

The Dauphine EFC Student Association has been promoting the  Master by organizing conferences, field trips and building longlasting partnerships.
